Returns & Exchanges
We encourage you to fully inspect the item(s) of your order when they are delivered to ensure the order and the item(s) meet your expectations.
When purchasing the product(s), you have the right to return or exchange your order, for a period of seven (7) days. This seven (7) day period commences on the day after the product(s) were received by you or a representative previously designated by you.
During this seven (7) day period, you will treat the product and its packaging with care, only unpacking or using the product(s) to the extent necessary to be able to assess whether you wish to retain the product(s).
If you would like to return, exchange or a refund, you will be required to return the product(s) to the Skins Cosmetics South Africa store, with all delivered components, and – insofar as this is reasonably possible – in the original state and packaging. Cosmetics can only be returned in unopened packaging. Gift Cards from Skins Cosmetics cannot be returned.
We do not charge extra for the return of your order, where the reason for the return is due to your order being incorrect or damaged. If a return or exchange is due to a change of mind or incorrect product or sized ordered (i.e. not due to any error or liability on the part of Skins Cosmetics South Africa), the cost of delivery will be for your account and will be deducted from the refund payment, exchange, or replacement allocated to you, and against the original purchase price of the item(s) you are returning or exchanging.
If the item(s) were received as a gift, you may only return or exchange them for a store credit (normally a Gift Card) to use against a purchase of your own preference.
For qualifying returns, the purchase amount of the returned item will be credited to you, excluding delivery costs (where applicable). In addition to the purchase amount, possible charges for the initial delivery will also be credited in the cases mentioned below:
- If you received a damaged or incorrect item.
- If you paid the delivery costs for the return shipment, you will be credited your delivery if an item from the shipment is damaged, wrongly delivered or otherwise incorrectly delivered. In this case, Skins Cosmetics South Africa will credit the shipping costs per the selected payment option of the purchase.
Where applicable, as soon as we received your package, the delivery costs will be credited to you per the selected payment option of the purchase. The costs will be credited to you within fourteen (14) days after the return delivery has been received. You are requested to keep the return receipt until the delivery costs have been credited.
Credit based on payment option:
- EFT or credit card: the purchase amount will be credited to your bank account as soon as possible and within 30 days.
- (partially) with gift card: you will be credited this amount by means of a gift card from Skins Cosmetics South Africa. The remaining purchase amount will be credited to the concerned bank account.
